Welcome to my planner project, 'A Less Confused 2024.'

This planner is more than just a tool for organization; it's a personal journey from chaos to clarity.

Something that started as a side project a few weeks ago out of my interest in learning Adobe InDesign has helped me create something meaningful.

This planner is my way of embracing life's confusions and transforming them into something beautifully organized

to create a planner that is simple, functional, and a good personal companion for 2024

The Process.

The journey of creating this planner was a blend of inspiration, collaboration, and iteration.

> Market Research - Following a lot of Instagram pages to see what are usually added to a Planner / Journal - the good, the bad and the ugly

> Ideating - Being confused and differentiating between a journal and a planner.

> Design Research - Calling up and texting a few friends to understand their workflow, and what they’d like to see in a planner

> Designing - Watching tons of YouTube videos on how to use Adobe InDesign (knowing Photoshop from before helped :P

> Iterations - Creating multiple design iterations, getting inputs from friends on what is the best direction forward

This process helped me understand the different types of binds that exist - and explored what works for me and what will not.

This is a saddle stitch, and while this is the fastest to get printed, the cover on this tends to fly open.

This is the perfect bind, it is supposed to look cleanest (the sample here is a shoddy job) the problem with this one is that it doesn't open fully in the middle.
